The conference includes two national, full-day CLE programs focusing on the topics of construction, fidelity and surety. The construction program will be geared to the surety professional, the fidelity program will address modern hazards and coverages including a focus on the cyber world and cyber loss, and the surety program will focus on the impact of arbitration on the surety.
Ashley and Dan will speak during the surety program set to take place Friday, Jan. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Serving as co-chair of the surety program, Ashley will join fellow attorneys Lee Brewer of Columbus, Ohio and Laurence Jortner of CNA in Chicago in giving the surety program’s welcoming remarks and introduction.
After the program kicks off, Dan will speak from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. about the history of arbitration and how it came to exist in its modern form. Attorney Todd Kazlow of Baltimore, M.D. will join Dan in delivering the presentation to attendees. From there, the program will take a deep dive into various facets of arbitration, with Ashley’s presentation taking place from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. Ashley will speak about the effective use of arbitration and ways to maximize its efficiency and efficacy. Attorneys Theodore Baum of Rochester, N.Y.; Bryan Rendzio of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Patricia Thompson of Miami, Fla. will join Ashley in delivering the presentation.
